"Final Reflection"

For this research paper class Ive learned better ways to research by using things like Gale virtual library, LexisNexis,and Jtor. Ive also learned to utilize tools like, MLA (modern language association) citation helper, to properly and adequately cite in my paper. If I had the chance to give a  future student advice about taking this class, I would tell them that, it is so important to begin research as soon as you pick your topic, and to not waste time with switching topics due to lack of research and not exploring the topics fully, before choosing. When you decide which topic you want to do, begin researching and build a repertoire of sources and citations to use, so that when you are ready to begin, you can pick and choose what sources you would like to use. If I could go back and do something differently it would be, to really invest more time on the 5th milestone, so that I could take full advantage of Professor Dragan's feedback.

For the paper I chose to do the topic Portrayal of human minds on film using the film A beautiful mind. I loved the movie first of all, it was a really good movie, very emotional, it really plays on the feelings while watching it. I learned a lot about schizophrenia, while researching the the disease it has helped a lot with my other classes since I am in the human services field, taking many Psychology classes.
